First Modification on a Diesel Truck for better Performance is the Exhaust Pipe
Having a good Exhaust System on your Ford, Dodge, or GM Diesel Truck will produce more Power and Fuel efficiency.
Factory Diesel trucks come from the factory with small-diameter pipe with odd bends and pinches, which restrict the Exhaust Flow.
A good exhaust system uses larger diameter pipe (typically between 3-1/2 and 5
inches outside diameter) with as few bends and turns as possible.
A high-flow performance exhaust is essential. The small pipes create more heat and exhaust gas back pressure and as with any engine, heat and back pressure
will kill performance and over the long run, it will kill your engine. So, start with a high-flow exhaust. By adding performance exhaust system to your
diesel you will supply your diesel with a powerful sound, along with added horsepower and torque throughout the complete power range.
The exhaust systems we install will lower your exhaust gases by up
to as much as 200 degrees, while providing a quicker resonse time on your
turbocharger. Extra power is great, but lower exhaust gasses will allow
you to make other performance modifications to your Ford, Dodge and Chevy diesel
engine and still keep the exhaust gas temperatures safe.
If you have any questions at all about which diesel exhaust system piping is best for your Dodge Cummins, Ford Powerstroke, or GM Duramax do not hesitate to pick up the
phone and call us 870-941-6160.
At R&M Diesel we have been installing performance diesel exhaust systems in Arkansas since 1989.
The horsepower and torque gains will depend on your
manufacturer and model of truck.
Fuel mileage gains with performance
exhaust systems, which will vary by individual driving style and location.
