Where can I get an annual DOT inspection for my truck in Arkansas?

R & M does annual DOT Inspections - Give us a call 870-941-6161.

Do Diesels get better fuel mileage?

Yes. Diesels burn less fuel than a gasoline engine performing the same work, due to the engine's higher temperature of combustion and greater expansion ratio. Gasoline engines are typically 30% efficient while diesel engines can convert over 45% of the fuel energy into mechanical energy

How long do diesel engines last?

The longevity of a diesel engine is generally about twice that of a Gasoline engine due to the increased strength of parts used. Diesel fuel has better lubrication properties than Gasoline as well. In unit injectors, the fuel is employed for three distinct purposes: injector lubrication, injector cooling and injection for combustion.

Why does EPA adopt emission standards for non-road engines, vehicles, and equipment?

Non-road engines contribute significantly to air pollution. The emission standards address emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx), hydrocarbons (HC), particulate matter (PM), and carbon monoxide (CO). These emissions help form smog and include toxic compounds such as benzene, so reducing them will benefit our health and environment. In the Clean Air Act.

Does my older non-road engine, vehicle, or equipment need to meet these regulations?

Manufacturers must ensure that each new engine, vehicle, or equipment meets the latest emission standards. Once manufacturers sell you a certified product, no further effort is required to complete certification. If products were built before EPA emission standards started to apply, they are generally not affected by the standards or other regulatory requirements.  You do not have to retire your old engines, vehicles, or equipment.
